Despite the hottest June in memory, the Grand Prix and England in the football World Cup, with nearly 800 visitors and over £6500 shared between the Shooting Star Children's Hospice and St Mary's Church, this years' Open Gardens were a resounding success. Throughout the day a steady stream of visitors could be seen wending their way around Sunbury with their maps in hand, making their way to the next delight. Many took advantage of the refreshments on offer, the cakes, jams, books and plants for sale, and the mega raffle. A great day for all and many thanks to those who opened their gardens and all the volunteers who helped out on the day.
We would also like to thank the individuals and companies for their kind donations
